Family & Child Well-Being
Families are the primary place where children are nurtured, protected, and formed. Every child is a sacred gift from God, deserving of life, love, and opportunity. Policies should affirm the inherent dignity of every human life while supporting parents’ ability to provide stable, loving environments where children can thrive.
Key Issues:Â The Child Tax Credit, Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, and other pro-family tax and wage policies; pro-life policies that protect unborn children and support mothers and families; access to affordable, reliable childcare; online safety measures for children; and early nutrition programs.
Work, Dignity, & Family Income
Work is an expression of dignity and calling, yet too many working families struggle to meet basic needs. Policy should reinforce work while helping families achieve stability.
Key Issues:Â The Earned Income Tax Credits and other pro-worker policies that generate opportunity and incentivize workforce participation
Nutrition & Basic Needs Security
Access to food and essentials is foundational to human dignity.
Key Issues:Â SNAP and other food assistance programs and policies that reduce
hunger and food insecurity
Home & Community Stability
Safe, stable housing enables families to build routines, maintain relationships, and invest in their communities. Housing instability undermines family health and child development.
Key Issues:Â Housing affordability and other policies that promote community stability and rootedness.
Affordability & Cost of Living
Rising costs place increasing pressure on families, especially those with lower incomes. Responsible stewardship requires understanding how economic policies affect daily life.
